Svetlana Loboda (Светлана Лобода) has won the Ukrainian final with the song Be My Valentine. The new Eurovision version version is dubbed Anti Crisis Girl.

A promo kit on Moon records includes a dvd with audio (mp3) tracks including the Eurovision entry and a remix. However the audio tracks are of a very low sound quality. The video's are perfect though.

RONAN KEATING VERSION

22-10-10. Ronan Keating (website) will release his own version of Believe Again as his next single in Australia and New Zealand.

updated:Believe Again is a duet with R'n'B singer Paulini Curuenavuli (website). It will be included on the album Duet, especially created for the Australian/New Zealand market.
The single track is now available from itunes Australia.

The album will include some previously recorded duets (Lulu, Elton, Cat) alongside new songs with antipodean artists.
The single will be out on November 12 2010. Both album and single will be released exclusively in Australia and New Zealand.

COVERVERSION(S)
There have been some interesting developments regarding the Afrikaans coverversion of Believe Again.
It turns out four South African singers have recorded the song, but it's Heinz Winckler (picture) who gets the clearance to release the song. His version, Ek Kan Weer In Liefde Glo (I can believe in love again), is released on Wincklers new album with the same title, (his first recordings in Afrikaans) which is out next week.
You can already see the video for the track at Heinz Winckler MySpace. or on his YouTube channel.
The first Afrikaans coverversion of Believe Again was recorded by Henri Alant. The track is called Ek Glo (I believe) and was planned to be on Alant's forthcoming CD (which seems unsure now). Ek Glo is already issued on a 6 track advance promo CD Sal Jy by Artists Warehouse.
Two other artists in the battle for Believe Again are Kobus Muller and Francois Marais.

Another singer from South Africa who has recorded Believe Again is Charl Stone. Charl is a policeman from George (on the south coast). He recorded the song in English for his debut album 'n Nuwe Geur (a new scent). You can listen to this and other tracks at his MySpace. The album is out on

Jeroen van der Boom, one of the Toppers (Dutch entry 2009) has recorded a Dutch version of Believe Again on his new album Verder. The track is titled Weer Geloven. The album is out 21-09 (Red Bullet Music) http://www.jeroenvanderboom.nl/


Jeroen van der Boom released Weer Geloven as a single on november 20. The cdsingle also includes an acoustic version. In the Christmas week the cdsingle goes to #1 on the Dutch singlessales top 100.

Noa and Mira spent a week in the Swiss top 100 at # 93

Noa (נעה) is a celebrated singer who has released over 10 albums since the early 90's.
She is one of the most internationally successful singers of the current Israeli music scene.
In her career she worked with many popular artists like Annie Lennox, Cheb Khaled, Carlos Santana, Pat Metheny, Patrick Bruel, Miguel Bosé, Zucchero and Eurovision related stars like Lara Fabian, Joan Manuel Serrat, Massimo Ranieri, Maurane and Amina.

Mira Anwar Awad (ميرا عوض‎) is a Palestinian singer living in Israel. She's also an actress currently appearing in the sitcom Arab Labour and the musical My Fair Lady. La Noche Es Para Mi was first released on Soraya's CD Sin Miedo (Universal/Vale Music), released in 2008 (October 13 to be more precise).
A re-release of the Sin Miedo CD is out since May 5. The CD (+ DVD) has a remix of La Noche Es Para Mi: The Deep Central Remix
Sin Miedo is Soraya's third album, it also features a duet with Belgian Eurovision Superstar Kate Ryan (titled Walk). Soraya is currently working on an English language version of the album.

Soraya in the (new) Spanish charts: 47, 31, 30, 38, 25, 27, 17, 19, 16, 33, 31, 32, 35, 29, 9, 24.

Sweden
In Sweden La Noche Es Para Mi is released on a 1-track cdsingle (Lionheart/Universal LHICDS -0118 )
La Noche Es Para Mi enters the Swedish charts at # 35 (week 19) and goes to 25.

COVERVERSIONS
2010 update South African singer Henk Grimsell has released a coverversion in Afrikaans. It's titled Vanaand Is Net Vir My and can be found on his CD Dis Tyd (Southern Buzz records)

A demo in English of La Noche was recorded by Sofia, who was in the 2009 Swedish Melodifestivalen with Alla. A Demo in Greek also exists.
I was just re-checking the Operacion Mutante Myspace and much to my delight they have recorded the Spanish 2009 entry. It's titled La Industria Es Para Mi, so I guess there's a message somewhere in that racket. Their Baila El Chiki Chiki (Spain 2008) is in the player too.

Coverversions from South Africa

2010: Two South African artists have released their coverversions of Lose Control.
MoniQue get a little help from rapper Snotkop on her version Ek Val Vir Jou (I fall for you) in Afrikaans
You can find the track on MoniQue's album with the same title. The album also includes an English version of the song.
The CD is out now on select music and is available at Kalahari. It's also digitally available at Rhythm Music Store. and some international providers. You can watch the youtube here.

South African Bachelor Of The Year Stefan Ludik also has an album out. Burn This Town is out on CD in South Africa and also digitally available at Play.com, We7 and MusicMe. It has one Eurocover, Lose Control, last years clubby Finnish entry by Waldo's People. It's in English and a bit louder than the original.

Macedonia (F.y.r.o.m.) - Nešto Što Ke Ostane - Next Time

Missed the final because of the juries wildcard for Finland.

Next Time (Некст Тајм if you need to) are twin brothers Martin and Stefan Filipovski from Skopje. They just released their debut CD Next Time which includes their debut single and chart hit Ne Veruvam Vo Tebe (I Don’t Believe in You) but Eurovision song Нешто што ќе остане is not on it.

Montenegro - Just Get Out Of My Life - Andrea

Just Get Out Of My Life is written by Ralph Siegel with lyrics by Bernt Meinunger and Jose Juan Santana Rodriguez.

Siegel & Meinunger are responsible for many Eurovision entries, many as a team. They wrote the only German winner so far (Ein Bisschen Frieden, 1982) and the best German entry ever (Dschinghis Khan, 1979).
For Siegel the 2009 Montenegro entry is his 19th attempt, for Meinunger his 12th.

Belarus - Eyes That Never Lie - Petr Elfimov

Petr Elfimov has recorded the Eurovision version of Eyes That Never Lie in Finland with Nightwish producer Tero Kinnunen.
And as expected it's quite fantastic.A Russian version Vzglyad lyubvi (Взгляд любви) is recorded.
